Hirotaka Tanaka (Ht)

Born in 1978, Osaka, Japan
As a graduate of International Relations with Spanish from university in the U.K., he started his career as English-Japanese-Italian interpreter while receiving professional training for conference interpreter at Simul Academy.
In 2008, however, he decided to grab an old camera left by his father and step in international development assistance. His engagement started with the assignment in Tanzania, followed by South Sudan and Kenya.
In the past 10 years since 2013, he has been seen at office and in the field in Tanzania, Pakistan and Laos as one of Project Experts to JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) for ODA technical cooperation.
His philosophical approach taken for photography and cinematography started in 2010 with Branding concept and platform named as "crossvoce" and is expanding to shape the form of creative studio offering coaching services over foreign language, study abroad, and audio visual communication based on applied neuroscience.
He continues to shoot in various countries to capture the shape of individual existence, attachment, connections and reflection of ongoing life in contemporary society in an unfinished manner through his lens.

About crossvoce
crossvoce is a Branding concept focusing on audio-visual communication through the lens of neuroscience to nurture the venue for creativity in the community.
Logo of crossvoce is "Comma" with implication of "connecting" people, culture, value, service and experience through involvement of crossvoce studio, playing a pivotal role as "interpreter".
"Voce" means "voice" in Italian, with an aim to provide the solution venue by representing the voice of clients in interactive manner.
crossvoce exists to share solutions in the community by designing the communication.
【プロフィール】
田中 博崇（フォトグラファー）
1978年、大阪市北区生まれ。
陸上自衛隊音楽隊トランペット奏者・指揮者の父親のもと、幼少期から18歳まで大阪、兵庫、香川、京都と渡り歩く。
1996年、高校卒業と同時に単身渡英。現地の大学で国際政治とスペイン語の両学科を専攻し2000年に卒業。その3ヶ月後にイタリアへと渡る。地中海気候に癒されながら、約1年間イタリア語とAISローマ支部ソムリエ養成コースでワインを嗜み帰国。同時通訳者養成機関サイマル・アカデミーにて通訳トレーニングを積みながら、語学講師、産業翻訳者、通訳者として過ごす。
2008年、人生を創作活動にシフトしていくと同時に、コミュニケーションツールにおける視覚的要素の効果を確認すべく、初めて触るメカニカルカメラLeica M6とNikon F3、モノクロフィルム100本を手に国際協力機構（JICA）の青年海外協力隊に参加。2年間、タンザニアでコミュニティー開発に従事しながら、現地でモノクロフィルムの現像処理を初めて試みる。2011年から緊急人道支援NGOのフィールドコーディネーターとして南スーダンで水・衛生事業、ケニアのダダーブ難民キャンプではシェルター事業と人道支援に従事しながら写真活動を継続。
2010年、人々の内なる声に耳を傾け、メッセージを紡ぎ合い可視化して拡散・循環していくプラットフォームcrossvoceを構想。https://crossvoce.com/
各種コミュニケーションをデザインし認知トリガーへの寄与を目指すフィロソフィーとして存在する。
運が味方をし、JICA長期専門家として2013年から8年間タンザニア、2021年から2年間パキスタン、2024年に入りラオスに赴任中。これまで地方行政・教育・保健医療とセクターをまたいでODA技術協力プロジェクトに従事。2024年、海外生活が20年を超え、次の10年を見据えた新たな領域に挑戦中。
視聴覚によって異文化間の意識距離を縮めるため、そして現代社会における個人の存在と拠り所を対話の余地を残した未完成な形で表現し、コミュニケーションをデザインし人々の認知を刺激すべく、写真・映像を撮り続けている。
